Rev.Jacob P. John and Mrs. Leelamma Jacob, missionaries from Kerala, pioneered and established the Philadelphia A.G. Church under the guidance of the Holy Spirit on January 14, 1979. The first service was held under the shade of the pastor’s bedsheet, with seven people in attendance, including two children. Today, the congregation has grown to over 20,000 people attending every Sunday. Rev. Jacob P. John went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2013. Mrs. Leelamma Jacob continues to be an integral part of the church family, serving the Lord with passion.
Rev. CHARLES P JACOB is the senior pastor of Philadelphia AG Church, Vijayawada. Known for his Spirit‑filled sermons, humble leadership, and heart for souls, he has impacted countless lives through his pastoral ministry. Called by God at a young age, Pastor Charles has committed his life to building the Church and sharing the love of Christ across generations. Rev.Dr.Philip P. Jacob is a passionate minister and dedicated servant of God, continuing the spiritual legacy of his father, Rev. Jacob P. John. A Ph.D. graduate in Chemistry, he was called into full-time ministry after being deeply convicted to serve the Kingdom of God. As a vibrant voice to the next generation, he plays a vital role in both Philadelphia A.G. Church and Krupanidhi A.G. Church, Vijayawada, ministering through powerful preaching, worship leadership, and youth mentoring. With a deep desire to impact lives through the Word, Pastor Philip combines biblical truth with practical teaching, empowering believers to grow in faith and walk in spiritual authority. His commitment to prayer, excellence, and outreach reflects his passion to reach the lost and equip the Church for Kingdom purposes.
